Major Free Zones
DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre)
DIFC has its own employment law. Gratuity is typically 21 days per year for the first 5 years, then 30 days per year thereafter.
DMCC (Dubai Multi Commodities Centre)
DMCC follows UAE Labour Law for gratuity calculations, making it similar to mainland regulations.
JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone)
JAFZA companies typically follow UAE Labour Law, but individual employment contracts may vary.
